Textierge is designed to be your personal concierge via SMS. We take your privacy seriously and aim to collect the minimum data needed to provide the service. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how you stay in control.
1. What We Collect
We collect only what's necessary to provide and improve the service:
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, and zip code provided during registration
- Message content — the SMS messages you send to Textierge, so we can respond and maintain conversational context
- Stored preferences — memories, reminders, important dates, and personal preferences you ask Textierge to remember
- Optional media — documents or images you choose to text to Textierge
- Usage data — message timestamps, frequency, and general interaction patterns used to enforce usage limits and improve the service
- Payment information — processed and stored securely by Stripe; Textierge does not store your credit card details directly
- Google Calendar data (if connected) — event titles, descriptions, dates, times, locations, attendees, and calendar metadata such as time zones and settings. We also store a secure access token that allows us to access your calendar on your behalf.
Textierge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Provide SMS responses, reminders, recommendations, and concierge actions
- Store and recall memories and preferences you ask us to remember
- Deliver daily briefs and scheduled notifications
- Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse of the service
- Process subscription payments
- Improve product quality, reliability, and performance
- Communicate service updates, changes to terms, or important notices
3. How We Use Google Calendar Data
We access your Google Calendar data only to provide the services you request via text message. Specifically:
What We Do:
- View your schedule: When you text "What's on my calendar today?" we read your calendar events to answer your question
- Create events: When you text "Add lunch with John tomorrow at noon" we create that event in your calendar
- Modify events: When you text "Move my 2pm meeting to 3pm" we update the event in your calendar
- Delete events: When you text "Cancel my meeting with Sarah" we remove that event from your calendar
- Daily briefs: We read your upcoming events to include your schedule in your morning brief (if enabled)
- Event reminders: We read event times to send you SMS reminders before meetings (if enabled)
What We DON'T Do:
- We do NOT sell your calendar data to advertisers or third parties
- We do NOT use your calendar data for advertising or marketing purposes
- We do NOT share your calendar data with other users or third-party services (except as required to operate our service, such as using Anthropic Claude AI to process your requests)
- We do NOT continuously monitor your calendar — we only access it when you send us a message or when generating scheduled briefs
- We do NOT store your calendar events permanently — we only access events in real time to respond to your messages
Limited Use Compliance:
Textierge's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google's Limited Use requirements, which means:
- We only use your Google Calendar data to provide and improve our SMS assistant features
- We do not transfer your Google user data to others unless necessary to provide our service, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you)
- We do not use or transfer your Google user data for serving ads, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising
- We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless: (1) we have your explicit consent, (2) it's necessary for security purposes, (3) to comply with applicable law, or (4) our use is limited to internal operations and the data is aggregated and anonymized
4. AI Processing
Your messages are processed by an AI language model (provided by Anthropic) to generate responses. Message content and relevant conversational context are sent to this AI provider in order to fulfill your requests.
We do not use your messages to train AI models. Your conversations are used solely to provide and improve the Textierge service. Please refer to our third-party providers' privacy policies for additional details on how they handle data processed through their APIs.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted providers to operate the service:
- Google Calendar API — to access and manage your calendar when you connect it
- Twilio — SMS delivery and phone number verification
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI language processing for generating responses (calendar data is sent to Claude only to fulfill your requests and is not used for model training)
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
- Railway — application and database hosting
These providers access only the data necessary to perform their specific function. We do not sell your data to any third party.
Important: When you send calendar-related requests, we may share your calendar event information with Anthropic Claude AI solely to process your request and generate a response. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models or for any other purpose. We do not share your calendar data with any other third parties except as described in this policy.
6. SMS Messaging & Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Secure, access-controlled database storage
- Request validation on all inbound communications
- Rate limiting and abuse prevention systems
- Environment-separated credentials and secrets management
While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Google Calendar Access Tokens:
When you connect your Google Calendar, we store an access token that allows us to access your calendar on your behalf. This token is:
- Stored securely in our encrypted database
- Only used to access your calendar when you send messages or for scheduled features (daily briefs, reminders)
- Automatically refreshed when needed to maintain connection
- Immediately deleted when you disconnect your calendar
8. Data Retention
We retain your account data and message history for as long as your account is active. Conversation context used for AI processing is limited to recent messages and is not stored indefinitely in the AI provider's systems.
If you delete your account or request data deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes.
Google Calendar Data Retention:
- Access tokens: Retained as long as your calendar is connected; deleted immediately when you disconnect
- Calendar event cache: We may temporarily cache calendar events for up to 24 hours to improve response speed; cache is automatically cleared daily
- Message history: Your conversation history (including calendar-related questions) is retained for service quality and to provide context in future conversations
9. Your Rights & Controls
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your data and account
- Export — request your data in a portable format
- Opt-out — stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP

Google Calendar Permissions:
You have complete control over your Google Calendar connection:
- Disconnect anytime: Text "disconnect calendar" to immediately revoke Textierge's access to your Google Calendar
- Revoke via Google: You can also revoke access at any time through your Google Account permissions page
- Selective access: You can choose which Google account to connect if you have multiple
- Review permissions: View exactly what permissions Textierge has in your Google Account settings
10. Opt-In & Opt-Out
- Opt-In: You opt in by providing your mobile number on our registration page and completing the sign-up process.
- Opt-Out: To stop receiving messages from Textierge, reply STOP at any time. You may also use: OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or STOPALL.
- Support: For assistance, reply HELP or email [email protected].
- Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
11. Google API Services
Textierge uses Google Calendar API services, and your use of these features is also governed by:
By connecting your Google Calendar to Textierge, you agree to allow us to access your calendar data as described in this Privacy Policy, subject to Google's terms and policies.
